Road
|
Please
see the map. We are five miles from Berwick-upon-Tweed and three
miles west of the A1 trunk road. Leave the A1 at East Ord and join
the A698 for about 1 mile. Turn right on to a minor road for Horncliffe
and follow the brown signs for the Honey Farm. We are 200 yards
past the Honey Farm, the last house in England before you reach
the Union Chain Bridge over the River Tweed.

Rail
|
The
East Coast Main Line offers excellent connections at Berwick-upon-Tweed
- King's Cross 3.5 hrs; Edinburgh and Newcastle 40mins ( refer to
rail time tables). We will be pleased to make arrangements for you
to be met at the Station. |

Bus
|
There
is a reasonable local bus network based on Berwick-upon-Tweed, to
the Border towns, Edinburgh and Newcastle. |

Air
|
Edinburgh
and Newcastle airports are each about 60 miles; just over 1 hour by
car. |

Cycling
|
We are on the Tweed Cycleway and the Coast and Castles cycle route, which links to the C2C route. Cyclists are welcome. |

Fishing
|
Coarse
fishing is readily available in the River Tweed from our riverbank
and we can arrange rod fishing permits for salmon and trout on the
Tweed and its tributaries; and sea fishing from Berwick, Seahouses
and Eyemouth. We have Rod storage facilities and a drying room. |

Walking
|
North
Northumberland and the Borders offer unlimited walking opportunities.
The Southern Uplands Way, St Cuthbert's Way and St. Oswald's Way are close at hand and
the Cheviots and coastal paths are readily accessible. There are riverside
walks in all directions from Chain Bridge House. We will do what we
can to drop off/pick up guests who wish to undertake linear walks
along the Tweed. We have an extensive range of maps and guide books
which guests are welcome to use. |

Berwick (Goswick and Magdalene Fields), Coldstream (The Hirsel), Belford,
